Shahbaz wants to strengthen Pakistani economy
Shahbaz said that a total of nine Special Economic Zones were started between the year 2016-17 under the Joint Commission Committee. He said that Pakistan is taking advantage of the modern technology of China. He said that the affordable and skilled Pakistani labor and the modern technology of China together will help in the rapid development of the economy.
Promised to solve the problems of Chinese companies
Prime Minister Shahbaz suggested that organizing road shows and other activities in China to encourage Chinese investment would be “beneficial for all.” Problems will be solved. Shahbaz directed to achieve the targets in the Special Economic Zone within the stipulated time. He stressed on setting up of Special Economic Zones as a model.
CPEC is a $62 billion project
Significantly, CPEC is a $ 62 billion project under which the Gwadar port in Balochistan in Pakistan is being linked with Xinjiang province of western China. It is part of China’s ambitious Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The agreement for this project was signed in 2015 during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan. Under the project, power plants and industrial areas are being developed in Pakistan at a cost of billions of dollars.
